Your"gut" (a.k.a." "intestinal tract") is a tube which makes up a part of your digestive tract. It is not quite as straightforward as a hose or tube it's an amazing tube made from live cells closely bound together. Your gut helps your body absorb nutrients and fluids, digests your food, and houses billions of gut microbes.
